More Trailerail Information
| Detailed research and observation of the prototype lead
to the development of trailerail in HO. Countless photographs and measurements
were taken at the Islington Terminal with permission of the operators.
This has resulted in the appropriate placement and size determination of
the various logos and coding, as well as recording the various types of
vehicles used in the service.
Currently there are four Trailerail movements into Adelaide each week, two east and two west using the Melbourne - Perth corridor. Trailerail now also has trains from Perth to Sydney. In June 2002, a west bound train had 67 trailers in the consist. The HO vehicles from Bill's Trains are modified from quality
trailers and are available in four different varieties - dry pantech,
refrigerated pantech, curtainsided and flatbed. Models are available as front, mid and rear units.
The standard starter kit consists of a dry pantech front unit and a dry pantech rear unit.
All logos and signage are as per prototype. ie some have "Revolution in Motion" on back doors,
and Trailerail signage varies in size and location. Feel free to email me for more information. |
